Privacy Notice

Private by design.

Ova is an accountless, local-first cycle tracker. Your cycle and health records remain on your device. Optional analytics and crash reporting are separate and require your choice.

Effective date: September 27, 2026 · Publisher: Wisecodex

1. Scope

This notice explains how Ova processes information in the mobile app. Ova is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not intended for children.

2. Information you enter

Depending on how you use Ova, the app may process:

These records can include sensitive health information.

3. How Ova uses local information

Ova uses information you enter to maintain your profile, show your logs and history, calculate wellness estimates, and display cycle context. Period, fertile-window, and ovulation dates are estimates and may change or be unavailable.

4. Where your health records are stored

Your profile, cycle records, symptoms, measurements, and notes are stored locally on your device. Ova does not require an account and does not upload those health records to a Wisecodex server.

Your operating system, device backup settings, or a backup service controlled by you may copy app data independently. Removing Ova, clearing app storage, losing the device, or device failure may permanently remove local records.

5. Optional analytics and crash reports

During onboarding, you may separately choose whether Ova can use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Collection is disabled by default. If you do not opt in, Ova keeps both services disabled.

If you opt in, Google Firebase may receive:

Ova does not intentionally add your name, birth year, cycle dates, fertile dates, symptoms, sexual-activity logs, notes, measurements, or other health content to analytics events or crash-report keys.

Firebase processes optional telemetry as a service provider under Google’s applicable terms and privacy documentation. See Firebase Privacy and Security.

6. Advertising, sale, and tracking

Ova does not display ads, sell personal or health information, or use health records for advertising. Ova does not use optional telemetry for cross-app advertising tracking.

7. Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you edit them, use Erase all local data in Ova Settings, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Local deletion cannot be undone.

Optional Firebase telemetry follows the retention and deletion controls offered by Google Firebase. Erasing Ova’s local data disables future Analytics and Crashlytics collection on that installation and deletes unsent crash reports controlled by the app. It cannot recall reports that were already transmitted.

8. Security

Ova uses platform-provided local storage protections for sensitive records and encrypted network transport for optional Firebase telemetry. No device, software, or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device with a passcode and current operating-system updates.

9. Your choices

10. Wellness limitation

Ova is for general wellness and information. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Do not use Ova as contraception, to confirm pregnancy or ovulation, or to make urgent medical decisions.

11. Changes

Wisecodex may update this notice when Ova’s features, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated. Account, cloud sync, advertising, sharing, new analytics, or other off-device health-data processing will require a revised notice before launch.
